Product Information

Preparation H Clear Gel is used to help relieve the discomfort of internal and external haemorrhoids (piles), including itching, burning and swelling. It contains phenylephrine, which works to reduce swelling, together with hamamelis (witch hazel) water, which has an astringent action. The non-staining clear gel is designed to be easy to apply. If symptoms do not improve, or if you notice bleeding, speak to your pharmacist or doctor. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or considering use for a child, speak to your pharmacist before use. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

How To Use

For external use in the anal area. Clean and dry the affected area before applying. Apply the gel as directed on the label, typically in the morning, at night and after each bowel movement. For internal use, use the applicator provided where supplied. Do not exceed the stated dose. Follow the directions in the patient information leaflet.
