Product Information

Olbas Oil is an inhalant decongestant made from a blend of pure plant essential oils. It is used to help relieve the symptoms of nasal and bronchial congestion associated with colds and hayfever by inhalation, and may also be applied to the skin for the symptomatic relief of muscular aches. The concentrated oil can be used on a tissue, handkerchief or pillow, or added to hot (not boiling) water for steam inhalation. Not for use in children under 3 months. Keep away from the eyes and broken skin. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your pharmacist before use. If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

How To Use

Suitable for adults and children aged 3 months and over. For inhalation: adults and children aged 2 years and over add 2 to 3 drops to a tissue or handkerchief and inhale the vapours; a few drops may also be added to a bowl of hot (not boiling) water. For children aged 3 months to 2 years, add 1 drop to a tissue held near the child (do not apply to the skin). At night a few drops may be sprinkled on the pillow or bedding. For muscular relief (adults and children 12 years and over): massage a small amount gently into the affected area up to three times a day. Do not exceed the amounts stated on the label. Avoid contact with the eyes; do not put drops directly into the nose or mouth. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

Active Ingredients

Cajuput oil 18.5%, eucalyptus oil 35.45%, mint oil (partly dementholised) 35.45%, levomenthol 4.1%, methyl salicylate 3.7%, juniperberry oil 2.7%, clove oil 0.1%.
