Product Information

Imodium Instants 2mg Orodispersible Tablets contain loperamide hydrochloride to provide short-term relief from acute diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over. They may also be used by adults aged 18 years and over to manage episodes of diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) that has previously been diagnosed by a doctor. The tablets dissolve quickly on the tongue, making them convenient to take without water.

It is important to drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost during diarrhoea. Do not use this medicine if you have blood in your stools or a high temperature, and seek medical advice if symptoms continue for more than 48 hours. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your pharmacist before use. Our pharmacist is available to provide advice. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

How To Use

Adults and children 12 years and over: place two tablets on the tongue to dissolve and swallow with saliva (no water needed) at the start, then one tablet after each loose stool. Do not take more than six tablets (12mg) in any 24-hour period. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, talk to your doctor. Not recommended for children under 12. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.
