Product Information

Imodium Instants 2mg Orodispersible Tablets are a pharmacy-only medicine for the short-term symptomatic relief of acute diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over, and for acute episodes of diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in adults aged 18 and over following diagnosis by a doctor. The tablets dissolve on the tongue. Drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost through diarrhoea. Do not use if there is blood in the stools or a high fever, and do not use for diarrhoea lasting longer than 2 days without medical advice. Not for use in children under 12 years. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please speak to your pharmacist before use. Our pharmacist is available for advice. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

How To Use

Adults and children 12 years and over: place 2 tablets on the tongue to dissolve and swallow with saliva (no water needed) at the start, then 1 tablet after each loose stool. Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24-hour period. Stop and seek advice if diarrhoea lasts more than 2 days. Speak to your pharmacist before use if you are unsure whether it is suitable for you.
