Product Information

Voltarol 2% Gel contains diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which helps relieve pain and reduce inflammation in muscles and joints. It is suitable for the treatment of painful conditions such as sprains, strains, bruises and other localised aches affecting the muscles and joints.

The gel is applied directly to the affected area of skin, allowing the active ingredient to work at the site of pain and swelling. For external use only. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin, and avoid contact with the eyes. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking other medicines or have a medical condition, speak to your pharmacist before use. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

How To Use

Adults and adolescents 14 years and over: gently rub a small amount (a quantity ranging from the size of a cherry to the size of a walnut, depending on the size of the affected area) into the skin 2 times a day, ideally morning and evening. Wash hands after use unless treating the hands. Do not use for more than 14 days for muscle and joint pain unless advised by a doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Not for use under 14 years of age unless on medical advice. Speak to your pharmacist before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or for use in a child. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

Active Ingredients

Diclofenac diethylammonium 2.32% w/w, equivalent to diclofenac sodium 2% w/w (20 mg diclofenac sodium per gram of gel).
