Product Information

Corsodyl 1% Dental Gel is an antibacterial oral gel containing chlorhexidine digluconate. It is used to help treat and prevent gum problems such as inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), to aid the management of mouth ulcers and denture sores, and to support oral hygiene where toothbrushing may be difficult. Note that toothpaste can reduce the effect of chlorhexidine, so leave a gap between brushing and using the gel as described in the leaflet. If your symptoms do not improve, speak to your pharmacist or dentist. Use in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding should be discussed with your pharmacist. Always read the label and the patient information leaflet before use.

How To Use

For gum problems, apply about 2.5cm of gel to the teeth and gums with a clean toothbrush, once or twice daily. For mouth ulcers or denture sores, apply to the affected area with a clean fingertip or cotton bud, once or twice daily. Rinse your mouth with water and wait around 5 minutes after brushing your teeth before using the gel. Follow the duration and dosing in the patient information leaflet.
