Q: Can you take Cleanmarine if you are allergic to shellfish?
A: No. Krill are crustaceans.
Q: Is Cleanmarine gluten free?
A: Yes.
Q: At what age should Cleanmarine® MenoMin be recommended over Cleanmarine® For Women?
A: Instead of focusing on specific ages, Cleanmarine® MenoMin should be recommended before or when the key perimenopause symptoms start to occur such as hot flushes and night sweats.
Q: Is Cleanmarine MenoMin safe to take when on HRT?
A: Yes it is safe to take while on HRT. We also recommend taking/consuming soya isoflavones. These will help with some of the symptoms and side effects of HRT. It will help fill in receptors sites in the breast and stop oestradiol from the HRT ‘Filling’ the receptor sites and possible causing mutations.
Q: Is Cleanmarine safe for those with oestrogen-dependant breast cancer because it contains soy isoflavones?
A: There is much debate over this question, a number of scientific studies have shown that these compounds have a protective effect and prevent the breast tissue from being stimulated by oestrogen:
Q: Why are some of the amounts of the vitamins in Cleanmarine much higher than the RI?
A: The RI (Recommended Intake) is the level of a nutrient that is considered to be sufficient to meet the requirements of 97-98% of healthy individuals. At particular stages in life we have higher requirements for different nutrients, particularly due to different stages of hormonal imbalance.
Most of the nutrients are B vitamins and are water soluble, any extra taken in than the body requires will be excreted in the urine. When the body is under stress, it requires 50% more B vitamins. Urine will appear more yellow in colour due to the waste products of B vitamins (especially Vitamin B2 - Riboflavin) being broken down.
Vitamin D3 is also higher than RI because oestrogen protects our bones and heart and as oestrogen decreases at menopause it can affect bone health. Vitamin D is very important for calcium absorption.
Q: How is MenoMin different to other menopause products on the market?
A: It is supported by a peer reviewed study showing 77% of women had a reduction in hot flushes after 3 months of taking it, 66% had improvements in vaginal dryness. It contains tailored nutrients which are selected especially for their role in hormonal health. Other brands have A-Z of ingredients but some are in too minute a quantity to have an effect.
Q: Why does MenoMin not include sage?
A: Some women take sage but find it has no effect on them - this can be due to the fact that their body needs phytoestrogens. Sage may help with hot flushes but does little for overall balancing of hormones. MenoMin is designed to balance hormones and help with vaginal dryness, hot flushes, mood and cholesterol.
Q: Are there any contraindications with Cleanmarine?
A: Cleanmarine is not suitable for those on blood thinning medications due to krill oil content.
