Elastic therapeutic tape from MX is stocked here in roll format, including the 5cm by 5m roll and the pink version in the same width.
Kinesiology tape is stretchy cotton tape with an adhesive backing, used on skin over muscles and joints during activity and recovery. It differs from rigid strapping tape in that it moves with the body rather than immobilising the area, which is why it is commonly seen on athletes who are still training rather than resting. Application technique matters more than the brand: skin should be clean, dry and free of lotion, the ends are applied without stretch, and the tape is rounded at the corners so it does not peel at the edges. A 5m roll covers several applications depending on the area, and most applications last a few days including through showering. Colour makes no difference to how the tape performs, so the pink roll behaves the same as any other.
MX tape is stocked at Ronaghan's Pharmacy, a family-run Irish pharmacy, alongside supports and first aid supplies. If you are recovering from an injury that has been assessed, follow the taping advice you were given by your physiotherapist or doctor. Browse the range below.
