Products aimed at breathing during sleep make up the Mute range stocked here. It covers Mute mouth tape in a 30 pack and the Mute Turbine nasal dilator trial pack.
The two work at different points. A nasal dilator is a small device placed just inside the nostrils that holds the nasal passage open mechanically, which is why the Turbine comes as a trial pack with more than one size, since nostril shape varies and the fit is what determines whether it works for you. Mouth tape takes the opposite approach, encouraging nasal rather than mouth breathing by keeping the lips closed. A 30 pack covers roughly a month of nightly use. Neither is suitable for everyone. If you have a blocked nose, a cold, sleep apnoea, or any difficulty breathing through the nose, mouth tape is not appropriate, and anyone who snores heavily or stops breathing during sleep should be assessed by a doctor rather than managing it with an over-the-counter product. The two products are sometimes used together, though starting with one at a time makes it easier to judge whether either helps.
Mute is stocked at Ronaghan's Pharmacy, a family-run Irish pharmacy. Speak with your doctor if snoring is affecting your sleep or if you have been told you stop breathing at night. Browse the range below.
