Brupro is an ibuprofen-based anti-inflammatory available in 200mg and 400mg tablets, used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever, and ease inflammation. It belongs to the same NSAID drug class as Nurofen, with ibuprofen as the active ingredient in both. Brupro 200mg is the standard adult dose, while Brupro Max 400mg is suited to more persistent pain where a higher dose is clinically appropriate. Adults and children over 12 should take no more than three 400mg doses in any 24-hour period, always with food or milk to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal discomfort. Common uses include headache, dental pain, period pain, muscular aches, cold and flu symptoms, and the short-term management of minor joint inflammation. Brupro is not recommended for those with a history of peptic ulcer, renal impairment, or aspirin sensitivity, and should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest necessary duration.
